Our budget for private hires/charters depends on the number of participants (the more people book the more trams we can rent). PLEASE DON'T BOOK ANY TRAINS/FLIGHTS/HOTELS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE OUR TOUR CONFIRMATION TOGETHER WITH THE INVOICE. Meeting points and travel tips/further details will follow a few weeks before the tour starts. We will send you links to track or line/route maps so you can download them. We will distribute everything (including list of participants) electronically only.
We can only run our tours with a minimum number of participants. As soon as this number has been reached we will inform you. If there are too many bookings we may have to turn you down (VDVA members have priority when we accept bookings).
We will only accept bookings from non-members if the supplement is selected above! Please await the tour confirmation/invoice (around March). Once you paid for the tour we will not be able to re-imburse you if you cancel (you may cancel free of charge before you pay). You may want to buy your own travel insurance to cover this event. The following applies to all our tours: Hotels/meals/travel to and from and tickets at the destination are not included in our tour price. Prices quoted above are correct as per December 2019 (we reserve the right to increase the price for later bookings). The program at the destination is run by Verband Deutscher Verkehrs-Amateure e.V. (your tour leader is Lars F. Richter, Hamburg).
Please book your own hotel. We recommend a hotel located in the city centre/downtown. Our suggestions for hotels: (please do not book anything unless you can cancel it free of charge in case the tour will not run): Chisinau Bed & Breakfast Olsi, Iasi Hotel Arnia (or Majestic Hotel). Online booking websites (like booking.com or hrs.com) often only list a limited number of rooms in a hotel - if there are no vacancies shown you should try to find the hotels own website and book directly (very often you will still get a room that way).
We usually have 20-25 participants max. so that more photo-stops can be arranged.
